Fall Series | The Book of Nehemiah

Nehemiah is a story about rebuilding what is broken.

After decades of captivity, God’s people had returned to Jerusalem, but the city was still in ruins. The temple had been rebuilt, but the walls of Jerusalem remained broken down and the gates had been burned with fire. The physical condition of the city reflected something deeper—the people themselves needed restoration.

God raised up Nehemiah to lead a rebuilding project that would ultimately become much bigger than walls.

They rebuilt the WALLS.

God rebuilt the PEOPLE.

Nehemiah shows us what happens when ordinary people become convinced that God has called them to accomplish something greater than themselves. It is a story of vision, prayer, perseverance, opposition, repentance, leadership, community, and spiritual renewal.

And it is a story that speaks directly to the Church today.

There are things God desires to rebuild in us, in our families, in our church, and in our city.

It’s time to rebuild.
