At NorthEast our aim is to be a Great Commission Church! Our Groups ministry is a part of our discipleship pathway that helps make disciples!
Our groups help people find Biblical community that will provide a place where they can Belong, Be Real and Become Disciples of Jesus on their journey toward Christlike maturity!
We are convinced that Christlike maturity and spiritual formation happens best in the context of relationships. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find. Our Groups ministry exists to make Biblical community relevant and accessible for everyone.

The vision for all Groups is that we all take our NEXTSTEPS with Christ. This means that a successful Group isn’t defined by how many people attend, but by whether the Group supports the spiritual growth of every member.
Sometimes your next step may be staying with your current Group. Other times, your next step may be joining a different Group, stepping into leadership, or creating space for someone else to grow. The win is not simply being in a Group; the win is taking your next step in your relationship with Jesus.

At NorthEast, we use a FREE MARKETapproach to Groups. This means that we do not have a church-wide curriculum that all groups must follow. We do offer weekly discussion guides that will help your small group track with the Sunday sermon!
The free market groups can consist of approved marriage studies, Bible studies, Financial Peace, parenting studies, newly married studies, and much more. Have an idea? Just have a conversation with Pastor Jason about the content!
Groups meet throughout the year in three trimesters:
- WINTER (January - April)
- SUMMER (May - August)
- FALL (September - December)
We want to shift our mindset from closed Life Groups to open, disciple-making Groups. Rather than groups that feel permanent or exclusive, we want to create intentional opportunities for people to step into biblical community throughout the year.
That's why our group sessions are designed with strategic on-ramps and off-ramps. These seasons make it easy for new people to join without feeling like they're interrupting an established group, while also giving current members the freedom to transition into a different group that better fits their season of life, schedule, or spiritual needs.
Our goal isn't simply to fill groups… it’s to build a culture where every person has a place to belong, be real, and become more like Christ.
