START CLASS is your guide to all things NorthEast. It covers our beliefs, the mission we’re on, and how to be part of what God is doing here. This class is also the pathway for becoming a member at NorthEast, so whether you’re new or have been around NorthEast for a while, this class equips you to make an informed decision about becoming a member.

At NorthEast We Value MEMBERSHIP!

To us, NorthEast is more than a platform for preaching and furthering the gospel—we’re a community of believers. As believers, we are to live out our Christian lives in the context of the local church. In the same way that the physical body has different, interconnected members, Paul tells us that we are “members one of another.” 

While you could remain a guest of NorthEast or even a regular attendee of our weekend worship gathering, the real value of NorthEast begins with membership. Membership implies a commitment to the N family. It’s your way of saying, “Count on me!” In turn, we promise to commit Gateway resources to meet your spiritual needs. That’s our way of saying, “You can count on us!”

What is MEMBERSHIP?

At NorthEast, we believe that when you are baptized by immersion, you become a part of the body of Christ, the Church. After you’ve been baptized, you also have the opportunity to place membership with us. As a member, you have a vital role to play and unique gifts that God has given you to serve within the local church. Becoming a member means that you are committing to not only follow Jesus and be part of the NorthEast family, but also intentionally choosing to leverage your time, talents, and finances so that more and more people can know and follow Jesus.
