Current Openings

This full-time position provides vision, leadership, and oversight for the Student Ministry of NorthEast Christian Church (NCC). The Student Ministry Director is responsible for developing and implementing a ministry strategy that equips middle and high school students to know, love, and follow Jesus while partnering with parents and volunteers in alignment with the mission and values of NCC.

Qualifications

  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with Biblical leadership.
  • College degree in ministry or a related field preferred, or equivalent ministry experience.
  • Strong Biblical knowledge and ability to teach God’s Word.
  • Passion for discipling middle and high school students.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and leading volunteer teams.
  • Proficient with Planning Center, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, ProPresenter, and other ministry technology.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Discipleship

  • Provide vision, leadership, and direction for the overall Student Ministry.
  • Develop a discipleship strategy that helps students grow in their relationship with Christ.
  • Create safe, welcoming, and engaging environments that reflect the values of NCC.
  • Teach or oversee Biblical teaching that is age-appropriate and Gospel-centered.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
  • Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influence in their student’s life.

Programming

  • Oversee weekly programming, small groups, retreats, camps, and special events.
  • Develop and coordinate outreach opportunities that engage students and the community.
  • Ensure all ministry environments are safe, organized, and adequately staffed.
  • Prepare curriculum, supplies, equipment, and other ministry resources.

Volunteer Leadership

  • Recruit, equip, schedule, encourage, and develop volunteer leaders.
  • Ensure volunteers receive appropriate training and ongoing support.
  • Maintain current background checks and safety procedures.

Administration

  • Manage the annual Student Ministry budget.
  • Oversee ministry communications.
  • Utilize Planning Center and other software to organize ministry operations.
  • Attend weekly staff, leadership, and Elder meetings as requested.
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with church staff.

Personal

  • Be an immersed believer and an active Member of NorthEast Christian Church.
  • Faithfully support the mission of NCC through regular giving.
  • Participate consistently in worship services and a Life Group (or equivalent community group).
  • Model a Christ-like lifestyle in both personal and public life and pursue ongoing personal and ministry growth.
  • Support and protect the unity, vision, and leadership of NorthEast Christian Church.
