Current Openings

This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves supporting the Children’s Ministry Director to ensure both
preschool and elementary environments run smoothly, safely, and efficiently each week.

Qualifications

  • Related education or experience
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Warm, friendly, and comfortable interacting with children and parents.
  • Understanding of child development for both preschool and elementary ages.
  • Proficient in Canva, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic Biblical knowledge.

Responsibilities

Administrative & Weekly Preparation

  • Execute the provided curriculum for preschool and elementary classrooms.
  • Prepare and organize weekly materials, supplies, equipment, and snacks.
  • Ensure classrooms are clean, orderly, safe and fully staffed.
  • Assist with communication for NCC Kids events, programs, and policies.

Volunteer Coordination Support

  • Assist with recruiting, training, and encouraging volunteers.
  • Help coordinate and schedule volunteer teams for weekly ministry and special events.
  • Support volunteer training and gatherings.
  • Assist in maintaining volunteer records and ensuring background checks remain current.
  • Communicate reminders and updates to volunteers.
  • Provide coverage support as needed.

Ministry Support

  • Support the Children's Ministry Director in NCC Kids initiatives.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and Elder meetings as required.
  • Assist with logistics for special events and church-wide programming.

Personal

  • Be an active participant in the NCC community, regularly attending worship and engaging in small groups or other church life activities. 
  • Support and protect unity within the church.
  • Model generosity, flexibility, and a servant-heart attitude.
